Balinese massage. What is it and what benefits does it bring?

A relaxing and health-enhancing session such as a Balinese massage lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Afterwards, it is good to rest before going back home or work and to drink some hot tea.

Contraindications for Balinese massage are:

  • fresh fractures, including fused fractures,
  • tumours,
  • circulatory system disorders,
  • active viral and bacterial infections,
  • skin problems, including fresh wounds,
  • haemophilia,
  • pregnancy,
  • menstruation.

Because the treatment uses essential oils, soft music and the massage room is a warm and quiet place, Balinese massage soothes the nerves, relieves stress and relaxes. However, kneading, rubbing and stroking have a not inconsiderable effect on muscles, blood flow and the functioning of internal organs. As a result of reduced stress and muscular tension, headaches, neck pain, lower back tension and even insomnia are eliminated. The tissues in the muscles are stimulated and recover more quickly, which is beneficial for athletes, especially when preparing for competitions.

Passive, sedentary people who spend a lot of time at a desk will also benefit from massage. Not only will their muscle tension be relieved and stress reduced, but blood circulation will also be accelerated. As cosmetics containing essential oils are used during the treatment, skin tone and hydration are improved and orange peel is less visible.
